Biography

French criminal, best known for being the mastermind of the "heist of the century" took place at the Société Générale bank of Nice on 16 July 1976. Former soldier of the war in Indochina, a supporter of the OAS, writer and photographer, he has taunted the French police during the run that lasted until his death, after a spectacular escape.

He died 8 June 1989, Piedmont, Italy.
